Ok, which one of you jinxed me about the TPMS light the other day?????
The light came on yesterday and it wouldn’t reset. Pretty sure the passenger front sensor has come loose and fallen off. Was pulling into the garage with the windows down just now and could hear something hitting against the wheel. Son. Of. A. Bitch.

Wow, I didn’t think that curse would work long distance! Now I’ll put a hair curse on Donald Trump!

I left that there for you - and if I could, I’d make it all fall out.

OK - tomorrow morning the car will have been detailed and will have 10 grand less on the odometer.

Sweet. That would be acceptable.

OK, just don’t go leaving cars and coffees until you fix that.

The TPMS light came on in my 428i Gran Coupe yesterday for the first time, it was the coldest morning we have had for a while.

Temperature will do that. Mine did it a couple times last winter.
How do you like the Gran Coupe? I like the looks of the 4 better than the 3 and the 5.

No, manual Gran Coupes are not available in the US.

Goes to hide in the corner......
Side note, mine has now turned off and not gone back on again for 5 days. Watch it stay off until I’m back at the dealership.... Unfortunately yours sound like an actual issue and not just the damn light blinking sporadically. Sorry to hear.

Mmhmm. I honestly sat there and was like ‘shit! Who mentioned the damned tpms thing?’ Is what it is though. Gonna check today to see which tire it is actually coming from on the right side. I had the passenger rear patched a few weeks ago, so maybe if it turns out to be that one I can get the tire place to screw it back on for free.

They were, briefly. Only for MY2015 for a brief moment, option ZMA, on the RWD 428i only.

Oh well, like you said it would be a true unicorn. Mine was a retired dealership loaner so I didn’t get to choose options. The linked brochure was for BMW Canada where it is available as a manual if I recall correctly.

99% sure that’d be the one. The factory installation and process is beyond bullet proof for most things. Like how mine was the right rear after a wheel replacement I’m sure it’s the same situation in your case.

Checked it earlier today and confirmed it was indeed that will. Was gonna go today but had too much else going on. I’ll be making a trip the first part of next week. I just hope the damn thing still works by then

Yeah. 4 Gran Coupe only came in RWD form for 1 year, now they force you to get xDrive. They’re trying REALLY hard to be Audi up here.

Annoyingly I confirmed for me it’s the battery dying in the 5 year old TPMS sensor. It doesn’t affect a thing but I hate the light on the dash. What did your issue end up being?

I had to get a patch on my right rear about a month ago. The only thing i can think of is that they must have knocked the tpms lose or didn’t tighten it back up properly before putting the tire back on.

That’d definitely make sense. Was it an indie or the main dealership?

Just a local tire shop. The closest BMW dealer to me is over an hour away which does kinda suck for certain things, but it’s usually a non issue.
